Natural school portraits
This summer I had the pleasure of capturing a group of little friends who were getting ready to start school, a huge milestone! It was extra special to me having worked with two of the families since their little ones were tiny. Seeing them proudly wearing their uniforms was amazing. Timid toddlers had become confident, funny 4 year olds!
It can take some planning – a group of 5 mums and 5 children available on the same date but it all came together perfectly. The weather was better than we could’ve hoped, a stunning summers evening. I know that our children starting school is a massive step for our little ones AND for us! It was lovely to create beautiful natural school portraits of each child and some cuddles with Mum. It will be great to look back on the size difference in years to come – I’m sure my own children with tower above me one day!
As well as Sarah being totally down to earth, what I liked most was her natural ability to capture our 4 year olds personality. I would more than recommend anyone to book a shoot with Sarah. She is ever the professional and really cares about the customer experience.
We had lots of fun at the end of our session. Loads of giggles, silly faces and running around! Because when you’re 4 you love to be silly and play with your friends. It’s boring to sit still for too long!
I think I can say with total confidence that every single family was happy with their images.
I organised a photo session for our youngest and his friends starting school at Beeleigh Falls with Sarah. The entire process was straightforward and transparent. Sarah gave us lots of options and advice and happily answered any questions anyone in the group had.
Have a brilliant first year at school little ones!
