Chelmer Park Fun!

5th June 2019

When a place is so familiar I think it’s really easy to forget that other people may not know about it! Chelmer Park in Chelmsford is a place I spent enjoying a lot of my childhood… and my teens! It’s a very short walk from my Mum’s house and we’ve loved introducing it to our own children. Those of you that grew up in Chelmsford may have fond memories of the “big slide” a highlight to any trip to Chelmer Park! Of course it’s all changed over the years but your children definitely won’t be disappointed. The famous slide has been replaced with two huge wiggly slides – careful parents, you might not slide down this one quite as easily! With it’s bright colours and inviting climbing frames this is a must visit for those of you with school aged children, though I’m sure younger children would enjoy the slides too.

We’ve visited so many times over the years and I’ve used the small orchards for sessions a few times too. But this was the first time I decided to bring my camera along to capture my children enjoying themselves. I’m so glad I did!
