Photo Challenge – Home

26th February 2021

Lockdown 3 has been all about being at home with our families. A winter lockdown has felt so different – being indoors more, shorter days and everyone just feeling done. For my final Photo Challenge I asked you to capture what Home means to you during half term. This time there were prizes to be won! A £50 Gift Voucher from me, a Lockdown Busy Box from Muddy Boots Forest Adventures and 1KG of Pick & Mix from Oh Sugar Sweet Cones! You did not disappoint and I loved the variety of images entered.

As a mother of 3 myself I know how much moments like this mean! Seeing all of your little people surrounded by favourite toys – I can see why this is what home means to you. I was also drawn to all the colours, your perspective and all those lovely shadows!

I’m an absolute sucker for a photo shot through a window since enjoying it so much shooting my Doorstep Diary last year! Those little fingers pressed against the glass, love it!

Clare Thomas

“One of the rare moments they all wanted to be together and with me having a snuggle (although there wasn’t much room left for me . It’s moments like this I realise how much I’ll miss them when they go back to school.” I hear you loud and clear Clare!

Thank you for all your entries into all my Lockdown Photo Challenges! I’ve loved giving you photography tips and prompts to try out at home and on your daily walks. My 3 little assistant judges have also loved looking through your photos!

I’m now preparing for my return to work and cannot wait to get stuck into shooting with you all again. I have ideas spinning around my head for training workshops for adults, photography activities for older children, new locations, wellbeing days with some incredible business women coming together and so much more! I’ll await the 8th March to have my mind fully focused on my business again when the kids return to school.
